Remembering parties in College Greens,with Mary down the street from me, hanging out at school, football games and one time my Dad and I were taking a trip thru Utah and we ran into Lynn and a couple of his friends at a gas station...never saw Lynn again...yet never can forget some of the guys I used to hang around with...sad to say alot have passed .
I remember the night Lynn Pryor saved my bacon. It was a Friday night at Shakey's Pizza on Stockton Blvd. I was driving my parents 69 Plymouth Satellite as I just got my drivers license. Riding with me were Mike Calpo, Steve Mitchell, and Bruce Henning. We just pulled into the back parking lot and had just gotten out of the Satellite when we were suddenly surrounded by a crowd of Elk Grove High hostiles. We were surrounded by a sizable group. They were even standing on top of the Satellite's hood as some huge EG football player wanted to duke it out with Bruce. The situation was getting tense. I was thinking that one of the first times I get to drive my folks car I'm going to jail. Out of nowhere comes Lynn Pryor. Gets right into the steroid raged EG football star's face. These guys were looking eye to eye. So you KNOW that EG guy was huge! But Lynn came right up and got my back and my friends. I've never forgotten that Friday night fifty years ago when Lynn Pryor saved my 🥓 bacon. Rest In Peace, brother.
